Chaplaincy
The Chaplaincy team works closely with the whole team of professionals at the Hospice to provide the best service for each patient and his or her family. Coming to Our Lady’s Hospice can be an uncertain and worrying time for both patients and families. The members of the Chaplaincy team offer space and time to talk about those worries and anxieties. Sometimes it is easier to talk to a Chaplain rather than a family member about illness and other issues that arise.
The Hospice was started by the Irish Sisters of Charity. In the multi-cultural Ireland of today, faith is expressed in many different ways. There are many opportunities in the Hospice to participate in the celebration of Mass and the sacraments. We are also delighted to accompany people of all faiths - and none - and to facilitate them in whatever way possible.
