Anna Gaynor House / Residential
The Older People Residential Unit is a specialist service for older people who need long-term care. It also provides care to people with chronic illness. The Older People Residential Unit is based in Anna Gaynor House.
Anna Gaynor House is the new, state of the art, 100 bed residential care unit at Our Lady’s Hospice, offering gerontological expertise and long term care to high dependent frail older people with chronic illness and to some younger patients with neurological conditions.
The unit has a staff of doctors, nurses, care assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, pharmacist, chiropodist and household staff.
Complementary therapy, aromatherapy, massage therapy and music therapy are all used in the care of older patients with neurological disabilities.
